HOW IT WORKS
The Betsey Stockton Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) organization, which means we can legally operate as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization. This also allows the donor to give tax-free and for the donation to grow tax-free.
As funds are given to the Betsey Stockton Foundation, our team of board members will be responsible for giving those funds to organizations on behalf of individuals. We currently give funds to individuals sent from the United States with a focus on reaching unreached people groups. The prayer and hope is that this foundation grows large enough to bless a multitude of people and eventually become a foundation that has an impact for generations.

OUR PROCESS
As a team of board members, we want to ensure that funds are being deployed in a way that honors the Lord, the donors, and the recipients. To do so, we seek clarity in the application process and give details about how the fund deployment decision is made.
Please see the process below, which outlines how funds will be allocated.
1. Raise money from a donor base.
2. Seek and establish partnerships with like-minded sending organizations and churches for grants.
3. Have recipients apply via our online grant application.
4. Conduct a thirty-minute interview to vet the applicant.
5. The board and financial team make a decision on a grant.
6. Give to the recipient via the organization platform.
7. Receive a regular update from the grant recipient.
