BELIEF STATEMENT
The Betsey Stockton Foundation was created with a mission to “fund ethnic minorities to reach the nations with the gospel". This organization adheres to the Evangelical Christian Doctrinal Beliefs and is missionally aligned with the “Great Commission” found in Matthew 28:19-20. For further clarification of this mission statement, please see the definitions below.
ETHNIC MINORITIES
Refers to people whose cultural ethnicity or family of origin would be considered a minority of the population in the country where the person resides.
THE NATIONS
Refers to the ethne, or people, across the globe in need of additional gospel support or advancement. This language is borrowed from biblical scripture in Matthew 28:19-20 and various other references.
THE GOSPEL
Refers to the "good news" of the Scripture by invitation for salvation (Acts 16:31) from the consequences of sin (Romans 6:23) that is required of everyone (Romans 3:23) through belief in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:3-5), the Son of God (Mark 1:11). We believe that this gospel of the kingdom of God is to be carried forward by men and women, full of the Holy Spirit, to the ends of the earth.
